This home was perfect for my stay in Catalina, close to grocery store, I could walk everywhere. The home is perfect for a family get away or a bday friend celebration. I had no issues during my stay! Highly recommended!

Awesome property. The location is excellent. The house is full of charm and very cozy. Kitchen is huge. The host is amazing. Hot water is plenty. There are plenty of rooms for sleeping and mattresses are very comfortable. You can walk to everything from the house. There is also laundry for you yo access.

Great house for large groups. Sleeps 10. Beds were very comfortable. Good location, short walk to golf course, shopping, and restaurants. If you use oven, set it for 25 degrees less. Burned our pies, but not the turkey!

We had a wonderful stay! The home is nice and cozy; a home away from home. The home is nice and clean and fully equipped with all the essentials one will need. The only downside to this stay is the lack of having a golf cart included in the booking. Otherwise, everything was just wonderful.

Myself and 9 of my closest loved ones ventured to Catalina island and stayed at this amazing home for two nights. It was absolutely perfect, we were able to join together in the main living area all of us at once and enjoy each other's company. We were able to cook together and laugh together play games together and dance together. All seemed to sleep comfortably as well. It was in such an excellent location only a couple blocks from the beach and if we wanted to see other people or go to the beach, it was all very close. Definitely going to be staying here again. Thank you to the owners for upholding such an incredible welcoming home.

I hope all is well!

My family and I would like to thank you for the beautiful welcome and hospitality here at Mermaid 358, Descanso Ave. For some of my family members it was their first time and they love it. They like everything from the pier,stores, and specially the house. The pier was a beautiful night outing for the family, the stores had amazing souvenirs to shop to take to our love ones, and the house was just perfect for the number of people in my family. The house had all kitchen supplies, the house was warm, and we just felt very confortable and at home because we had everything we need it.

Welcome to 358 Descanso Ave - Avalon Home

This large two story house, offers 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, located at the upper end of Descanso Street. The living room and dining room areas feature hard wood - floors installed in Spring 2016. The master bedroom offers a king size bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom has a king bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 singles beds and a daybed with trundle. This property has an open floor plan in the living space with a 46-inch flat panel TV/VCR/2 DVD players, stereo, CD player, fully equipped & modern kitchen - plenty of elbow space. The front stoop, a Weber barbecue, and many other extras make this house a find for a large group or extended family. No smoking allowed, please. 358D

IMPORTANT:
- Fireplace is not available for use.
- No Smoking allowed

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).

***There is construction going nearby that will affect the access to the patio during the month of April and May 2025. There will still be access to use the BBQ.
